Mushroom Béchamel Baguette
Oh baby. We’re here. Bechamel has made an appearance. LOTS OF MUSHROOMS HAVE MADE AN APPEARANCE.
Béchamel
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1 1/4 cups milk, heated
Salt
Freshly ground pepper
Everything Else:
More butter
Olive oil
2 Garlic Cloves
Assortment of mushrooms (I used trumpet and shiitake)
Baguette
Sage
Salt, Pepper
Coat mushrooms in olive oil, butter, garlic, sage and lemon, roast in oven at 400 degrees until soft when poked with fork (20ish minutes)
Whip up béchamel from this timeless recipe.
Toast that baguette on the stove top with some butter.
Drizzle béchamel, plus shrooms, plust extra herbs such as thyme, rosemary, or sage, salt and pepper.
Even MORE béchamel (because you made it).
